Minding Educator’s Digital Footprints

On 7th December 2018, Dr. David Kabugo (PhD), Ag Cordinator Centre for Teaching and Learning Support, Makerere University presented a paper titled " Is our Privacy "Dead"? The Case for Minding Educator's Digital Footprints" In New Delhi, India, while participating in the Trainer of Trainers (TOT) workshop on the Common Wealth of Learning Digital Education Leadership Training in Action (C-DELTA)

Below is the abstract of his presentation;

As we engage and interact with learners in a digital landscape, we (educators) leave hundreds of Digital Footprints on personal and institutional technology devices and browsers. When such footprints are traced and put together, they form very complex and fragile stories about us. But who's collecting our digital footprints, how, and why? How much control do we have about our own data in a digital landscape. This presentation provides a way of thinking about, tracing and refining digital footprints to reposition us and transform our pedagogical practices
