Centre for Lifelong Learning(CLL)

The mandate of CLL is to identify community learning needs, develop, and deliver a wide range of high quality non-credit, lifelong learning/education and community capacity building programmes.

Centre for Lifelong Learning(CLL) in partnership with Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board offer National Diploma and Certificate courses in Business and Technical courses under Centre Number UBT 193 for Technical and UBB067 for Business Education. These programmes have been in existence since 1986 under Uganda National Examinations Board(UNEB). In 2011 Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) was formed to oversee Business and Technical programmes..

Overview-This program was affected by COVID 19 pandemic when the whole country went under lockdown. Last year the center opened with the continuing Diploma and Certificate students who reported to be able to complete their studies that were earlier terminated as a result of the pandemic.

At this point the Center liaised with UBTEB and teaching taking place..

The Principal College of Education and External Studies, Makerere University informs the general public of the National Diploma and Certificates courses in Business and Technical Education offered at the Center for lifelong Learning , Courses are examined and awarded by Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB)

CLL provides capacity building and tailor made programmes for local Government, Government departments, NGO’s, CBO’s, Institutions outside Uganda and other Agencies to promote Lifelong Learning and Development in various areas.
Entry Requirements
Diploma: “A” Level with 1 principal pass and two subsidiaries or its equivalent
Certificate: “O” Level or a recognized post – Primary training or its equivalent.
