On 6th September 2019, Makerere University College of Education and External Studies Management through its Institute of Open Distance and eLearning briefed first year students of Bachelor of Education – External Students. The event took place at Makerere College School dining hall
This briefing was intended to make students feel comfortable enough to hit the ground running the face to face session starts. This also enables management to inform students about university key facilities like library, University hospital, and Counselling services many others
The briefing session was organised by the Programme Coordinator Mr. Mugisha Arthur and was graced by the Dean, School of Distance and Lifelong Learning Dr. Alex Okot (PhD), Director Institute of Open Distance and eLearning Associate Professor Jessica Norah Aguti (PhD), Dr. Walimbwa Michael (PhD), College Registrar Ms Josephine, College Bursar was represented by the Sarah Nabawanuka, Mr. John Bukenya from the Institute of Open Distance and eLearning and College staff.
The students were briefed on registration procedure, enrolment process, requirement and timelines by the college registrar. Student queries on academic issues were all answered by the end of the briefing session
