Govt of Uganda and that of DRC signed a protocol on cooperation in education

Makerere University through its College of Education and External Studies, Center for Lifelong Learning, has taken a step to start implementing the protocol by extending CLL activities to Kinshasha, Kisangani and other cities in DRC. 

On 6th November 2018 the Principal, Makerere University College of Education and External Studies, Prof Fred Masagazi Masaazi hosted Mr. Lemba Munga Timothee, the Administrative Secretary/Education Officer from the Embassy of DRC Kampala to concretise plans of having Makerere University Centre for Lifelong Learning in the Democratic Republic of Congo. 

This cooperation will see courses like English Language for Beginners, Business Administration, Public Administration, etc. run at the Center. The Center will also support online/blended/distance learning programmes of Makerere University in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Vice Chancellor of Makerere University, Prof Barnabas  Nawangwe has already given a no objection to this innovation.  We thank the College Principal Prof. Fred Masagazi Masaazi, Deputy Principal Assoc Prof. Paul Berivu Muyinda, the National Cordinator Centre for Lifelong Learning, Ms Rose Atugonza and the rest of  your team members on the steps so far achieved in this direction.
