The Principal introduced Mr. Biddemu Bazil Mwotta as CEES alumnus who is reorganised as an international youth entrepreneur figure in the country. He has mate high profile people world wide. He has the interest to work with College of Education and External Studies
Bazil introduced himself as a former student from School of Education, College of Education and External Studies. He said that his the founder of AgroDuuka, which helps farmers in Uganda access information about market prices for produce in their region. It is designed to act as a low-cost SMS platform to connect smallholder rural farmers directly to buyers, before and after their harvest.
He stressed that his mission is to empower the youth to harness agriculture given that agriculture is the back bone of Uganda and employing the majority of Ugandans. He now wants to empower students at Makerere University to harness agriculture since most of them are in are youth. The intention of his visit was to discuss forward with the College Principle on how to work together College of Education and External Studies for the success of his mission of empower students at Makerere University to harness agriculture
Biddemu Bazil Mwotta was awarded by The Queen of the United Kingdom. The 2018 Queen's Young Leaders Award at the Buckingham Palace.
