Mr. Richard Kajumbula trains staff at the University of Rwanda in Kigali

The capacity that has been developed at Makerere University, College of Education and External Studies in transformative pedagogy is quite enormous.  Mr. Richard Kajumbula was at the University of Rwanda in Kigali on 12th July 2018 training University staff in Blended Learning pedagogy. Mr. Richard Kajumbula is from the Institute of Open Distance and eLearning, Makerere University.

He was participating in a training Workshop on blended learning at University of Rwanda, Kigali as a peer facilitator. The main objective of the workshop is to increase the number of staff at University of Rwanda with practical skills in creating and teaching blended learning courses. 

This is a joint activity collaborated between University of Rwanda, University of Agder and Makerere University. Mr Kajumbula Richard's participation was funded by the DELP Project.  Areas covered from theory to practical in the Module-based    platform include: Introduction to blended learning, Transformative pedagogy , Constructive alignment,  E-utilities and online collaborative learning, Digital assessment in virtual learning environments, Teaching and learning context analysis, Learning content design for virtual learning environments, Blended learning course creation, Virtual Learning Environment Design, User (Learner) experience testing and evaluation, Online tutoring and moderating, Scaffolding, peer tutoring and online student support and Online student motivation and engagement
