MAK-CEES gets 5 professional certified staff in Blended Learning

 

On 27th February 2019, Prof. Eria Hisali representing Prof. Banabas Nawangwe handed over professional blended learning certificates to five staff from CEES after completing the course and one staff from Makerere University Directorate of Research and Graduate Training Associate Professor David Owiny, the Deputy Director DRGT

Prof. Eria Hisali thanked the monitoring team from DFID and stressed that Makerere University Partnership with DFID has increased the visibility and builds Makerere brand.

He also said that PEBL activities are in line with what Makerere University is planning. He revealed that in the next 10 years Makerere is focusing on internationalisation and expansion of student numbers and both of these can only be achieved through blended learning. He said that Makerere University is planning for 70% blended learning in the next 10 years

The staff that received certificates include: Associate Professor Paul B. Muyinda (PhD), Mr. Richard Kajumbula, Dr. Jamiah Mayanja (PhD), Mr. Baate, and Mr Watuleke Joseph and the other staff was from Makerere University postgraduate school Dr. David O, the Deputy Director MAK-GRDT

The College Principal Professor Fred Masagazi-Masaazi (PhD) also attended the event. This certification in the area of eLearning is like CPA or ACCA professional accounting Courses.  This is a big achievement for CEES as a college mandated with carrying out Online Blended learning for Makerere University.

The college now posses with five professional experts and this  is the result of PEBL project at CEES
