Biography

Arthur Mugisha is an experienced educator, instructional designer, and eLearning specialist with over two decades of teaching and academic leadership at secondary and university levels. He holds a PhD in Education from Makerere University and is currently pursuing a Master of Learning Design and Technology at Arizona State University. His academic background also includes a Master of Arts in African Languages and a Bachelor of Education from Makerere University.

Arthur has played a key role in advancing blended learning, open and distance education, and digital transformation in higher education. He has served in various academic and administrative positions at Makerere University, including Coordinator of Bachelor of Education programs and eLearning Champion at the College of Education and External Studies. He has also contributed to curriculum development, academic mentorship, and learner support across multiple institutions.

His research interests focus on blended learning, instructional design, open and distance learning, and innovative pedagogical models in higher education. Arthur has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to books and conference proceedings, and actively participates in national and international academic forums.

Passionate about improving teaching and learning through technology, Arthur continues to contribute to educational innovation, staff development, and policy advancement in digital education.
