Scholars Design Competencies to Guide Secondary School Teachers Under New Curriculum Scholars at Makerere University have developed a set of competencies to guide graduate secondary school teachers in Uganda, focusing on effectively teaching students under the new lower secondary curriculum. The initiative, spearheaded by Dr. Yuda Taddeo Kaahwa as Principal Investigator (PI), includes contributions from Dr. Rebecca Nambi, Dr. Richard Balikoowa, Mr. Edward Kansiime, and Mr. Cale Santus.

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Makerere University College of Education and External Studies website. The College was formed following the merger of the School of Education and the Institute of Adult and Continuing Education, and now has three Schools and two Centres. These are: School of Distance and Lifelong Learning, School of Education, East African School of Higher Education Studies and Development, Centre for Teaching and Learning Support and Centre for Lifelong Learning.
