School of Education wins Tuning Africa project in East and Central Africa

The School of Education has competed with 200 universities in East, Central and Southern Africa to emerge the only winner of the Tuning Africa project in East and Central Africa. The project is funded by the European Union and aims to harmonize training curricula between European and African Universities.

Using an internationally established methodology, the project will help Makerere University enhance degree comparability, graduate mobility and employability.

Also, the project will improve our staff capacity to design and develop curricula, provide opportunities for generation of additional resources and will support effective and productive networking opportunities.

The Tuning Africa project is headed by Dr Anthony Mugagga Muwagga, lecturer Dept of Foundations and Curriculum Studies and Coordinator for the Centre for Teaching and Learning Support.  For more information go to: www.tuningafrica.org
