With deep sorrow, we inform you of the death of Dr. Charles Owenja Yik-Walla which occurred on Wednesday 2012-06-20 at Mulago Hospital
The late Dr. Charles Owenja Yik-Walla has been the Acting Head of Department, Adult and Community Education, School of Distance and Lifelong Learning, College of Education and External studies, Makerere University.
Staff from the School of Distance and Lifelong Learning (SoDLL) led by Dr George Openjuru held a meeting with the relatives of the late Dr. Owenja and made the following tentative arrangements:
- Today Thursday evening, the body will leave Mulago and spend a night at his residence in Katalemwa Estates
- Tomorrow Friday (22nd June 2012) there will be a requiem mass will be held at St. Augustine Chapel at 9.30. Thereafter, the body will be transported to his ancestral home at Nyapea, Paidha, and Zombo district.
- Burial will take place on Saturday 23rd June 2012 starting 12.00 noon.
- Transport arrangements are being handled by the college HRM, Mr.Abigaba Vincent.
Any further changes and developments shall be communicated in due course.
