Biography: 

Hannington Bananuka Twine is currently working as a Lecturer in the School of Distance and Lifelong Learning at Makerere University, Uganda. I hold a PhD in Education (Adult and Community Education) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and a Masters degree in the same field from Florida A&M University, USA.I also hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Education from Makerere University. In addition, I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of Victoria, Canada.  My teaching and research interests lie in areas of participatory research, adult education and socio-economic transformation, community development, University-Community engagement, NGOs/Civil Society Organisations and the broad field of development. I have vast teaching and administrative experience in educational institutions, particularly secondary schools and University.  I have also managed projects at institutional level but also as an independent consultant for both governments and International bodies.
