Pre-conference Workshop on ePortifolio Assessment. 1st International Conference on Open Distance and E-learning at Makerere University.  Conference will take place on 9th and 10th July 2018 at Mak Main Hall.

The Pre-conference event is took place on Friday 6th July 2018 at Makerere University Lira Center. The Entire Fraternity is invited to the Conference on Monday at the Main Hall starting 8am.



Deputy Principal MAKCEES at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London

On 26 June 2018, the Deputy Principal MAKCEES, Associate Professor Paul B. Muyinda is at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London validating a new Project we have been developing as members of Association of Commonwealth Universities. The project is called the Commonwealth Higher Education Youth Work Consortium Degree Programme Project.

School of Education Hosts Luganda Teachers Annual Conference

School of Education, Makerere University annually hosts the Luganda Teachers Annual Conference.  This year’s Luganda Teachers Annual Conference was organised by the Department of Humanities and Language Education and the Luganda Teacher’s Association on 31st May 2018 at the School of Education Conference Hall.

On 25th May 2018, the School Practice Coordinator Dr. Sekiziyivu Samuel held the school Practice supervisor briefing session at the School of Education Conference whole. The event was graced by the Principal College of Education and External Studies, Prof. F. CEES Principal hosted SFC Members from University of Glasgow

On 15th May 2018, the Principal CEES Prof. F. Masagazi-Masaazi hosted Sustainable Futures in Afica (SFC) Network members from University of Glasgow in United Kingdom who are having a collaborative engagement with the College Education and External Studies through its School of Distance and lifelong learning. The Sustainable Futures in Africa (SFA) Network is an interdisciplinary collective that brings together researchers, educators, and communities of practice that acknowledge the situated and complex nature of practices and conceptions of sustainability.

MAK-CEES hosts professors from Kennesaw State University USA

MAK-CEES through its School of Education is hosting professors from Kennesaw State University, Atlanta in Georgia State, USA. Makerere University and Kennesaw State University have staff and student exchange programme under MOU between the two universities.  A number of academic staff members from the College of Education and External Studies have benefited from this kind of collaborative engagement.

MAK-CEES Principal delegated by MAK-VC to open CODESRIA workshop 2018

On Monday 23rd April 2018, the Principal College of Education and External Studies, Prof. F. Masagazi-Masaazi was delegated by Makerere University Vice Chancellor Prof. Barnabus Nawangwe to open the two weeks CODESRIA workshop that that took place at Makerere University Senate Building Level 4 conference hall. The workshop attracted participants from Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana and Nigeria. The theme of the event was on the on the Role of Middle-level academics in University leadership.
