A new won Project at CEES titled EQIP

Govt of Uganda and that of DRC signed a protocol on cooperation in education

Makerere University through its College of Education and External Studies, Center for Lifelong Learning, has taken a step to start implementing the protocol by extending CLL activities to Kinshasha, Kisangani and other cities in DRC. 

Group 6 Pedagogical skills training for Assistant Lecturers at Makerere University

On 2nd November 2018, the training session was arranged and graced by the DVC AA Prof Okello Ogwanga, who said that the Pedagogical training for Assistant Lecturers is rich in content and awarded certificates to participants.

The Director HR was represented by Ms Zake S who stated that CEDAT has the largest numbers of Assistant Lecturers in the University and that is why the was split into two sessions

Call for application for Doctoral Student Mobility (Jan - June 2019)

 

The East African School of Higher Edu c ati o n S tu di e s and Development has already advertised a call for application for Doctoral Student Mobility (Jan - June 2019). In  addition, the school will also have two academic staff visiting the University of Tampere in Finland for 2 weeks each any time between January and June 2019. Fifth Pedagogical Training for Assistant Lecturer at Makerere University

Group five of Pedagogical skills training for Assistant Lecturers at Makerere University has started on 17th October 2018 up to Friday 19th October 2018. The training has been organised for Assistant Lecturers from Makerere University College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology and few Assistant lecturer from College of Agriculture and Environment Sciences who had missed earlier Training that was intended for their College.

School of Distance and Lifelong Learning hosts a team of five from University of Agder, Norway

A team of five delegates from the University of Agder, Faculty of Social Sciences led by their Dean, Professor Anne Halvorsen is in Makerere University to build and strengthen their international collaborations. They paid a courtesy visit to the School of Distance and Lifelong Learning on Thursday October 11, 2018 at 9:00am. The team constituted Professor Anne Halvorsen, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences; Associate Professor. Ann Christian Nilsen, Head of Department, Sociology and social work; Associate Professor. Jorunn Gjedrem; Mr.

Anthony Muwagga Mugagga (PhD) and Dr Ssenkusu Peter attends international Conference on Education and Global Conflict Resolution

 

From 9th to 12th October 2018, The Associate Professor of Philosophy at Makerere University under the College of Education and External Studies, Anthony Muwagga Mugagga (PhD) and Dr Ssenkusu Peter successfully represented College of Education and External Studies and Makerere University in general at Nwafor College Nsugbe in ANambra state in southern Nigeria where they presented papers on Philosophy of Global Conflict Education.

School Education host two Students from Malmo University Sweden

The School of Education is hosting students from Malmo University from Sweden on Student Exchange Programme. These students will be at the  Makerere University School  of Education  for  12 weeks.

Today 27th September 2018, the students paid a courtesy visit to the Dean, School of Education being led by Dr. Mary Ocheng a lecturer in the School of Education  and Ms Justine the  MAKCEES Grants office Office Administrative Officer

The two Students from Malmo University Sweden are under the Linnaeus Palme- spearheaded by  Assoc Prof Betty Ezati and Prof. Mugagga
