Department of Adult and Community Education acquires motorized tailoring machines to boost students’ entrepreneurship

In the past few years, the Department of Adult and Community Education has intensified hands on skills training for its third year students to ensure students graduate with practical employable skills. This has been made possible through the course unit of Entrepreneurship Skills Development and Microfinance Management taught by Mr. Joseph Watuleke.

Love Bint imparts reusable pad making skills to MakCEES Students

On 14th March 2018, Step30 International Ministries was at Makerere University at the Department of Adult and Community Education, School of Distance and Lifelong Learning, College of Education and External Studies. Love Bint is a project promoting and teaching the use of reusable sanitary pads for girls in Africa.

CEES students receive hands-on entrepreneurship training

Fifty three students from the CEES’ Department of Adult and Community Education recently received hands-on training in producing black books, papers bags and candles as part of the Entrepreneurship Skills and Microfinance Management (ACE 3212) course unit. The training workshop was aimed at providing students with the skills needed to initiate, manage and sustain small-scale enterprises for profit and social progress. The training was delivered by Mr. Jeremiah Nkwanga and Mr. Ronald Kiyimba from Winning Ways International.
