Makerere student leaders recommend 15% tuition increment

Makerere University student leaders have recommended a 15 per cent yearly tuition fees increment across all courses offered at the institution for the next five years.

Makerere University, through the office of the Academic Registrar, has released a full list of students admitted to the institution on private sponsorship for the academic year 2018/2019.

Students are to report on August 4, 2018.

Nearly 1,000 beneficiaries of Makerere University’s Female Scholarship Foundation [FSF] have offered to make regular contributions to finance education of more girls at the institution.

This promise followed a four-hour meeting at Makerere’s main hall in which each of the women explained how getting to the university had impacted on their lives. Speaker after speaker said their studies at university had added value to their lives and those of others.
