Prof. Fred Masagazi Masaazi praises Mak-MKU collaboration

The Principal College of Education and External Studies (CEES) Professor Fred Masagazi Masaazi attended the meeting between Makerere University Management and Mount Kenya University Management on 14th January 2019.  This was a historical meeting where the two universities signed a memorandum of Understanding, the Vice Chancellor Professor Barnabas Nawangwe signed on behalf of Makerere University while Vice Chancellor Professor Stanley Waudo signed on behalf of Mount Kenya Uni

MAKCEES Exhibits at Ministry of Education and Sports Teacher’s Symposium

On 10th – 12th December 2018, the College of Education and External Studies participated in the Ministry of Education and Sports Teacher’s Symposium exhibition that was held at Kyambogo University in Uganda.   The Symposium was almost a collection of all institutions in Uganda that train teachers.

Professors from Malmo University and Makerere University hold Interaction session on ECD Programme Development

 

On 11th November 2018, School of Education through its Department of Foundations and Curriculum studies held an interaction session between professors from Malmo University and Professors, Teaching staff of Makerere University Department of Foundations and Curriculum Studies. This session was held in lure of a Bachelor of Early Childhood Development at Makerere University.

Malmo University Professors are at Makerere University to spearhead the development of Early Childhood pedagogy

 

Govt of Uganda and that of DRC signed a protocol on cooperation in education

Makerere University through its College of Education and External Studies, Center for Lifelong Learning, has taken a step to start implementing the protocol by extending CLL activities to Kinshasha, Kisangani and other cities in DRC.

The East African School of Higher Edu c ati o n S tu di e s and Development has already advertised a call for application for Doctoral Student Mobility (Jan - June 2019). In  addition, the school will also have two academic staff visiting the University of Tampere in Finland for 2 weeks each any time between January and June 2019. School of Distance and Lifelong Learning hosts a team of five from University of Agder, Norway

A team of five delegates from the University of Agder, Faculty of Social Sciences led by their Dean, Professor Anne Halvorsen is in Makerere University to build and strengthen their international collaborations. They paid a courtesy visit to the School of Distance and Lifelong Learning on Thursday October 11, 2018 at 9:00am. The team constituted Professor Anne Halvorsen, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences; Associate Professor. Ann Christian Nilsen, Head of Department, Sociology and social work; Associate Professor. School Education host two Students from Malmo University Sweden

The School of Education is hosting students from Malmo University from Sweden on Student Exchange Programme. These students will be at the  Makerere University School  of Education  for  12 weeks.

Today 27th September 2018, the students paid a courtesy visit to the Dean, School of Education being led by Dr. Mary Ocheng a lecturer in the School of Education  and Ms Justine the  MAKCEES Grants office Office Administrative Officer

The two Students from Malmo University Sweden are under the Linnaeus Palme- spearheaded by  Assoc Prof Betty Ezati and Prof. Mugagga
